Jack London - White Fang

& The Sequel

Jack London - Call Of The Wild

Jack London
1786 - 1916

I first read these books when I was about 12 or 13. Jack London's descriptive writing still transports me back to the time of the Klondike gold rush in the US, the time when these books were written. I'm just reading them again now, they are still as good as I remember..... :)

Its great that you are finding that the same stories that you read as a kid are as good now as then. Not always the case. I've read quite a few where I cannot claim the same.
I give you credit for reading the classics.....I find that they don't hold my interest too well.

I've never read Jack London....seen the movies...or at least part of them. I usually walk away...maybe its a girl thing?
*shrug*
I just joined a movie discussin group through my library. We just critiqued " In the Bedroom". I hated it....but after discussion, I could "tolerate" it. The movie, however, will remain one that I would NEVER watch on my own. Next month will be "To Kill a Mocking Bird", the one with Gregory Peck. That at least, should be interesting.
Hope you are having a great day!!

Don't misunderstand me, Although I post a lot of classics, I post for the content & because obviously they are out of copyright. Although I do post copyright stuff occasionally it's a risky practice, as you can imagine. I tend to share that stuff online with WinMX it safer. I read lots or current stuff but can't post it 'sigh'. But there is a vast library of stuff that is out of copyright now so I'll post some of that ;).

Good that you had a nice holiday, good to see the photos it looks nice :).

To kill a mocking bird, now their is a classic I like Gregory Peck, brilliant actor. This discussion group sounds interesting.

My day has been OK thanks mostly inside away from the cold, it's getting cold here now the autumn leaves are golden brown and all about.

I know you probably do this already but back up that precious stuff on your pc onto cd or whatever it's a heartbreak if it's lost through computer or hard drive crash....

Take care xxx
