In this edition Peter Day talks to Victoria Hale - Chief Executive and founder of OneWorld Health, a non-profit pharmaceutical company to develop drugs for the poorest people in the world. She's one of a growing band of 'social entrepreneurs' , applying a business approach to big problems in difficult places,

Victoria Hale business model is based on talking medicines which have been dropped midway through the development process - either because the project becomes too expensive or the company changes direction - and being able to complete the development process and take the drugs to market with relatively small investments.

Now, six years after founding the company, Hale looks on the verge of her first success as a drug for treating lesh manaisis is to be submitted to the Indian for approval in May.
