I was quietly reading a book, as is my custom sometimes, when suddenly shouting erupted in the street. I looked out of the window, and I was astounded to see the far right facist organisation EDL, demonstrating in the street. Anti-Facist organisations were seen near the EDL demo.

After taking a closer look outside, it seemed they were protesting outside a local kebab shop call Funny Boyz, the owner looking out fearfully at the large & growing EDL demo on the otherside of the street, shouting at him PAKIS OUT, OUT, OUT OUT Etc.
The police presence was incredible, a mobile command centre was parked outside my door, the streets were flooded with police in hi-visibility wear. I could not understand what the reason for the demonstration was so I decided to do some investigation.

The happless owner, Iyad Albattikhi 31 & co-conspiritor, Mohammed Raveshi 51 alledged to have murdered a girl Charlene Downes 14 they had befriended for underage sex. Charlene was last seen on November 1, 2003 when she kissed her mother goodbye and went to see friends on Blackpool Promenade.
Jordanian immigrant Mr Albattikhi, who owned Funny Boyz fast food shop in Blackpool, alledged strangled the teenager after having sex with her.
The 14 year old girl alledged later 'chopped up' for kebab meat, & later sold at the store to unwitting customers, oblivious to the contents of their 'tasty kebabs'.

Allegedly Charlene was one of a number of young white girls who gravitated to the resort's fast food shops to have sex with older non white men. Mr Albattikhi ,alledged was overheard talking about having underage sex with the teenager and that she had 'gone into kebabs' in his shop.
The reader might at this stage be reading my latest post, with a growing sense of disbelief, but I can assure you that these were the reasons for the demonstration.
The EDL a facist right wing group, I find to be abbhorant, unprincipalled, racists. Their reason for demonstrating, obviously to take advantage of this situation to bash non whites alledged associated with this case.
As I write this I can only but feel sorry for her grieving parents Karen and Robert Downes.
